Lawyers Cooking for a Cause
The ITLA Women’s Caucus is sponsoring a cookbook fundraiser to raise money to help with food insecurity in Indiana. According to “Feeding Indiana’s Hungry”, food insecurity means that at some point in a month, an individual is unsure of where their next meal will come from.
Since the pandemic, food insecurity has risen more than 40% in Indiana. One in 5 Hoosiers are currently at risk of hunger. The strain that this increase in demand has put on Indiana’s food pantries, soup kitchens and food banks is suffocating. We can help!

It’s quick and easy to submit the recipe. Don’t overthink it. Whether it’s your go to weeknight quick dinner or your “oh
shoot, I need to take an appetizer”, please share. We accept all recipes so don’t forget your favorite dessert or favorite drink. Someday soon we will be having dinner parties and office gatherings again and having a cookbook with the favorite recipes of your trial lawyer’s friends is a great way to celebrate our community and to give back to those in need.
Not a cook? That’s ok. Maybe someone in your office has a recipe to contribute. All are welcome to submit a recipe. We hope to have all of the recipes submitted by the conclusion of the 2nd day of the Lifetime Achievement Seminar. If all goes as planned, we will have the books designed and ready for pre-order/sales in the fall.
